    FSG was founded in 2001 with acquisition of the Boston Red Sox from the Yawkey Trust. The bid was formally accepted in February, 2002, and included Fenway Park and 80% of the NESN.

    The Red Sox win their first World Series Championship in 86 years, breaking the “Curse of the Bambino.” FSG creates Fenway Sports Management, a sports marketing and consulting agency tasked with driving sponsorship sales for the Red Sox and to create new commercial opportunities for FSG properties and partners.

    FSG establishes FSG Real Estate after the company acquires several real estate parcels adjacent to Fenway Park to help preserve and protect historic Fenway Park.

    The Red Sox win their second World Series Championship under FSG. FSG acquires a 50% stake in Roush Racing, one of the most prominent NASCAR race teams, to form Roush Fenway Racing as part of a strategy to expand its business.

    In a major step to further its diversification strategy, FSG acquires Liverpool Football Club and the world renowned Anfield Stadium in a deal valued at $476 million.

    Red Sox win their third World Series Championship under FSG; the Company surpasses $1 billion in global consolidated revenue.

    Red Sox win their fourth World Series Championship under FSG, the most of any MLB team since 2000.

    After a sustained period of record breaking results and performances, Liverpool Football Club wins its sixth Champions League title. On November 22, FSG Real Estate breaks ground on the MGM Music Hall, marking the first development project undertaken by FSGRE beyond the walls of Fenway Park.

    LFC wins its 19th English League Championship and first English Premier League (“Premier League”) Championship since the formation of the Premier League in 1992, representing Liverpool Football Club’s first English Championship in 30 years. In October, FSG Real Estate forms a joint venture with WS Development and ’47 Brand to redevelop multiple sites in the Fenway neighborhood.
